Leucine, isoleucine and valine are the most important amino acids for muscle growth. The reason almonds aren't a complete protein is that they, "contain only 61 percent of the necessary lysine per gram of protein and 73 percent of the methionine and cysteine needed to form a complete protein." They have a sufficient amount of histidine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine and valine.

You are in better shape than I'll ever be and I'm fine with that. I'm loosing body fat at a steady rate with what I view as a healthy and varied diet. I love food too much to be as strict as you.

Brother I love food just as much as anyone. You should see me during the holiday season. Pure fucken pig.

But don't you ever get that "what if" question in your mind? What if I did this or that for a few months.. how good would I look"? I'm not suggesting you give up junk food for life. I'm suggesting you go all out for a summer to see how far you can get.

yea but meat sources, eggs, whey contain all those plus they are complete muscle building proteins. almonds to me are an inefficient and unnecessary food when it comes strictly to getting big and lean. there are better options IMO.

Bought 2 tubs of the gatorade powder yesterday. Going to Target today for the oats you guys brag about.

Buy in bulk from Costco or another bulk food supply. Save you a ton over the long term.

              10lbs of oats for $4.99

I'm a member at Costco, and will buy that, but wanted to try some of those flavored ones that you guys talked about awhile back. Cant remember the name, Good something or another?

Yea I used them years ago but the amount of food I eat now I'd go through the whole damn box in 3 days.

I just don't have the dedication you do. I'm not eating junk except for typically 2 cheat meals a week and I've cut out peanut butter but I'm having difficulty lowering my fruit and berry intake. As time goes on my diet keeps getting better and better, who knows, once I get down to sub 15% and show some abs, maybe that will motivate me to go that extra bit.

FYI, don't try steel cut oats, they are a pain in the ass. I got them because they have twice the fiber as rolled oats but I did not realize how long they take to cook.
