Recommending inflammatory omega-6-packed sunflower oil over coconut oil is scientifically illiterate. The AHA is about 30 years out of date with its science, yet can't seem to update its guidelines. I wonder how many people they've killed with their "guidance".
I just lubed up my wife's pie hole with some chocolate coconut cookies....and all the other stuff we add it to like our protein smoothies....She's rite I am trying to get her fat.....
heard a lot of bad shit about EVOO lately. most EVOO is cut with cheap junk oils. palumbo talks about it all the time. he used to eat it all the time and now wont touch the stuff.
even imported expensive evoo...
Last year, researchers at UC Davis tested 124 different samples from eight major brands of extra-virgin olive oil. More than seventy percent of the imported oils failed.
I used to cook everything in coconut oil when trying keto. Now I just use spray oil it has 0 everything in nutrition facts. That's all I care about. I already stress a bunch of shit no need to start worrying about the oil Im cooking with lol
He's says it's not that it's "bad" or "unhealthy" it's just that it doesn't really have any sort of health benefits over any other type of saturated fats. The science just isn't there to show it's health benefits.
So you can keep using it, it's not "unhealthy". It's just that your not getting extra health benefits using it over say EVOO or any other type of fat aside from trans fats which are proven unhealthy.
