Been on about a week. Definitely have more energy and lost a few pounds already. No bloated feeling or lethargy.

I like the fact that I can feel full longer with the fats and a little more satisfied with certian types of food like red meat and bacon. I am concerned about cal consumption tho.....could add up quick......do you do any intermittent fasting with Keto?

What's a day of eating for you look like? Do you mind listing it?

You been on no carbs for a week and have more energy? Lol. Your not very strict with it then. A week into a keto diet is when people crash.

Bullshit!. It takes about 72 hrs to go into ketosis after cutting carbs.

Carbs have always made me bloated. As soon as I cut carbs the bloating went away and so did the lethargy.

If I have a big carb meal with say rice or pasta I feel like shit for two hours after. With keto I can eat huge steaks and not even feel full afterwards. Maybe carbs just dont agree with me.

It changes a bit everyday depending on where I am but
              yesterday was...

Meal 1 = 6 eggs with 1 tbl peanut butter
Meal 2 = 1 black coffee, (2 beef pattys, 1 slice bacon - from macdonalds)
              Meal 3 = 6 eggs
              Meal 4 = 2 eggs , 6 x rasher bacon
              Meal 5 = 1 Porterhouse steak, 6 eggs
Meal 6 = 4 eggs with peanut butter

I have peices of paper all over my desk with numbers written out everywhere but this day was roughly =

              3216 cals
              216 fat
              281 Protein
carbs would be a few grams if that. Whatever was in the peanut butter.

              About 4bls down already

i'd drop 25lbs in 2 months on that diet. i'd also be absolutely starving. you must be female sized.

add to that, diet looks like a heart attack in the making. aren't you always concerned with that?

i need carbs to keep my muscle full. without carbs i deflate like crazy. no pumps etc..

i eat tons of carbs and protein with very little fat. that's what works for me.

I hate carbs while ON. Carbs are needed for me while I'm off. Otherwise I would not maintain the bit of size I do have.

So many variations as to how someone should eat, obviously we are all diff.

The one I've been really intrigued by as of late, is intermittent fasting;NOW THAT is proven to be good for you.

So I'm just getting started and trying to figure it out still but here's what I do:

                        1) Greens supplement to get all my veggies (not sure if it knocks me out of keto?)
With 3 whole eggs and 3 slices of bacon

                        2) 6 oz chicken and about a half cup of ground beef with Broccoli

                        3) 3 whole eggs with 3 slices of bacon

                        4) same as meal 2

                        Train

                        5) PWO protein shake with creatine (not sure if that ok?)

                        6) same as meal 2 and 4

                        Sleep

Bro you are still living in 2015. So these keto guys and some of the new generation of medical practitioners believe that carbs are the cause of heart disease NOT animal fats. There are all kinds of studies coming out now to prove this. There was also an interesting one I posted here a while ago saying cholesterol is not linked to heart disease but an interesting point is that MOST people who are on keto actually reduce their overall blood cholesterol. Check out the bacon experiment, guy eats only bacon for 30 days and his cholesterol dropped and bloods were perfect.

Think about human evolution, our ancestors (cavemen etc) never had carbs (not processed carbs...no rice pasta etc), they relied mostly on protein and fat from hunting.

A lot of the old school guys from the 70's used these keto style diets. Arnold has said that there was no such word as "cardio" back then and all most guys did were cut carbs for two months before a show.

In saying all that i'm not 100% convinced until I try it for a month and then get bloodwork. I will be very interested to see how it does affect cholesterol.

Im also doing this because I was starting to get pretty fat around the belly.

BTW how many cals a day are you doing now? Whats your diet look like?
