  • Midnight sugar feed

Ok I'm so guilty of waking up around midnight/early AM and grabbing a little sweet snack like a pop-tart, nut bar or Debbie cake.

Even if I have a delicious berry protein shake before bed time it still ends up happening and I can't fucking help it.

I know protein bars are junk but what I started doing is I'll take a quest protein bar [ happy birthday cake OR white chocolate raspberry] and slice it into quarters which gives me four slices. lol

Put those in a Ziploc bag for when I wake up each night I'll eat just one slice which has ended up working great while satisfying my midnight sweet tooth.

1 gram of sugar in each bar.

eating before bed causes weight gain because your metabolism slows down when you fall asleep. This causes any undigested calories to be stored as fat. Yet many health experts say that eating before bed is perfectly fine and may even improve sleep or weight loss.
But it's not a great idea because it can encourage unhealthy eating habits and lead to weight gain, simply because you're eating an extra meal.
