    Why is it you're not supposed to take more than 50 gms per serving. Some mrp's have more than that. And if I drink say a
    40 gm. protein shake and eat something that puts me past 50 gms will that be a waste of protein?

    a lot of people say that the body can't digest that much protein in one sitting.

        Yea, maybe I would take those high dosage protien shakes at night before I goto bed. Thats too much for the body.

            The idea that a person can`t utilize more than 40 grams per sitting is a total myth.Excess protein, like any other excess calories will be excreted by the body or stored as fat.A guy weighing 300 pounds will be ablre to assimilate more than a guy weighing 150 pounds.You`re best bet is to spread it out to keep yourself in a positive nitrogen balance.eat every three hours or so taking in at least 1 gram per pound of lean bodyweight as a bare minimum.digestive aids such as papaya enzymes or hydrochloris acid will help you absorb more of your protein.

              psyko, how much to you weigh brother? Higher protein intake is a must for BB's. This 30g per meal crap is ludicris. Do some research since MOST things you read arent based on one single piece of evidence. BB's must have super digestive systems. Chew your food better, take dietary enzymes, fiber is one of the single most important parts of the digetestive systesm and is very underated in my opion. The more fiber you have in your diet the cleaner your small intestine will be and the better you will be able to absorb nutrients into your body including protien. Raw vegetable are a must and are also underrated. They contain enzymes helpful for digestion, enzymes for healing not to mention they are a good source of fiber. Sorry for this but digestion is extremely important my friend.

                I personally think it takes time to build up...cause i nkow I can digest about 50-60 grams at a sitting now...although i know at a point in time a couple years ago that never would have been for me....had to build up to being able to handle as much as i can handle now...figure it would be the same for everyone......
