    when ya'll clean bulk what % of your cals come from protein/carbs/fats?

    Well... that all depends, but I usually go with a 50/30/20 split. I usually have to keep my carbs relativily low cause I'm extremely carb sensitive.

      40/40/20 is also a good ratio for bulking...but I'm a girl....I know guys who go 35/45/20 for a bulk, depends on how carb sensitive you are.

        50/30/20 i s pretty safe. If you are bulking, you always want to keep your protein intake high, since that is what is essential for protein synthesis and building.

          i can't believe they let you mod this forum... seriously

          you do not need more than 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass, sorry just dont need it wont help. this is assuming your not on slin/as of course anything else is going straight to your love handles.

          ex you weigh 200 but only have 165 pounds of lean body mass.... eat 165 grams.

          muscles are protein and water true, this doesnt mean the more protein you eat = the more muscle you add. the theory is rediculous.

            with that eat 2-3g of carbs per pound of lean body mass and if your still deficient in your daily calories, fill them with fats... unless of course 3g of carbs would exceed this then cut it to 2-2.5 and make sure your adding fats in there somewhere with protein meals...

                I really don't know where you get off calling a mod out, but what the hell kind of person advises someone to just eat 1 gmof protein per lbm.??? A NEWBIE. Which is exactly what you are. I don't appreciate your tone or uneducated remarks and advice. That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard when it comes to bulking. What the hell have you ever done to warrant such remarks?

                  oh yes, and one more thing...could you please explain to me the protein synthesis that carbs produce? ...that's what I thought.

                  "sure, eat 400gms of carbs and 200 gms of protein, and you'll become a monster mass of muscle!"
