I'm curious about andro---are people really upset about the ban? My name is Mike Mulhern and I work for FOX News Channel. I'm working on a story about andro and want to get some opinions---especially from those in the athletic community---whether or not the ban is valid. Are people out there really upset about the ban? Please email me or respond to this posting if you're interested in providing your opinion. We're also looking to interview someone on camera regarding the topic. Thanks!

I guess it would be easier to respond if we knew the real reason behind these proposed laws. A lot of us do not even take them (or ephedra, to cite another example), but wonder what the real agenda behind these laws is.

Most of the comments I have heard in the media have been related to sports figures using them. However, these sports figures were using "designer drugs" like THG that are not sold over the counter, but are specifically designed by chemists to pass drug screening tests. (I know that Mark McGuire claimed he only took andro, an over the counter product, but that was almost surely a lie, since andro barely works and has bad side effects--as I am sure you know already.) These designer steroids are probably very costly and not available to the public. Therefore, the laws will not touch those people who intend to cheat. So, we add another layer of expense to our government, and we solve what problem?
