  • Supp. info PLEASE

I've spent a little while searching for information on supplements. There are plenty of threads saying which supplements to use, and who is using what.

But, what I need to know is what do these supplements do, and why are they used (as in, what is that specific supplement's purpose)?

I've seen people with 20 kinds of supplements, while I currently only use protein, creatine, vits, and oils. Please list some supplements and what they do, I'm hoping to build some size faster than I have been, not worried about fat right now. Any recommendations on some new supplements to take would be great. Thanks guys.

this is ridiculous... i'm not going to go through 50,000 supplements and their descriptioins... when you think of something that you want to take, you can ask about that specific thing and people will be able to help or you can search it... listing supps is like trying to list insects and tell what they look like and do

Before I suggest anything, got any stats/background/age info u can give us. Otherwise stick with what Yellow Jacket stated, and maybe throw in some stuff called H20. Heard it works great. ;)

            Age: 22
            Height: 6'0"
            Weight: 182 lbs

Started lifting this March, gained 30 lbs in 3 months, have held steady since then trying to lower my bf%. My lifts have started slowing down in their progress. Was hoping to boost them a little.

How do I know what I want to take when I don't know what these supplements do? All I see are pages with people saying "I take swolev12, m1t, this and that, and blah blah blah". How the hell am I supposed to know what any of those are, or what they do, or why I would want to take them? I do a search on them and all I get are more threads with people talking about taking them or not, but nothing about what they do specifically. I could spend 10 hours hunting down info on them and researching them, or someone could be nice enough to take 5 minutes out of their day and list some of the important ones, why they're good, and what they do. And if I do decide to ask about each one individually, there will be 20 threads with my name on them flooding the supplement forum, I'm sure noone wants that.

I just want some stronger lifters, some muscle mass. Creatine, protein, and vitamins are all I'm taking now, and I try and get a good amount of protein with all of my meals. I workout 4 of every 6 days. Arms, legs, off, arms, legs, off. I do 15 minutes of cardio on each workout day.

I know many of you will say good diet and workout are all that I really need. And I agree I could get big doing just that, but if that's the case, why are there some out there taking 15 supplements? Anyway, for those who take the time to help me, thanx.

If someone took the time to make a list of all the popular supplements and their main benefits, maybe it could be listed as a favorite, or important, so it would be at the top of the forum for ALL to read.

Oh, and one last thing. YJ, if nutrition, and calories are all I need, why did I see a picture of about 25 supplements that you own? No offense whatsoever, just wondering.

Not offended at all, very valid question...... I consider myself a "seasoned veteran". Having used numerous supplements to my benefit to complement my diet (which is what a Supplement is) I feel Im in a position to give advice on them etc. By reading your original question, I would not consider you one who is in a position ot be needing a mass amoount of supplements. The relative simplicity of the question leaves me to believe a basic monohydrate creatine, protein shake and a multi vitamin is about all you need to complement your diet enough to see gains, both strength & hypertrophy.

If you would like to know about any supplement under the blue moon however, feel free to ask, thats what we're here for.

As for the ones you asked a bout, M1T is a methylated version of 1-Test. Consider (chemically classified) as an anabolic steroid and is very potent, NOT for a beginner. Basicall it acts on the endocrine system to aid in overall muscle growth, if you want more details than that, dont hesitate to ask.

Swole V2 is a creatine product which concentrates on cell volumizing, it has a variation of added ingreidents as opposed to its older brother plain ol creatine. Tricreatine malate for example is used which in theory is much more bioavaliable and is much more utilized than regular monohydrate. Its sugar free as well and I can personally vouche that its worth the $$$..

Anymore questions, ask away or shoot me a PM.

OK Lord dont fret bro. Ill list a few for u with some minor info then from their u can ask more specifically about which product interests you.

As of right now, creatine + protein good eating and lots of water is great. Keep it up, but before we get started, U stated ur workouty consisted of arms/legs. I really hope ur training back/chest/abs/shoulders/traps ect. as well. If u arnt, u should ;)

                On to the supplements:

I would suggest a "supped up creatine" as YJ has put it before. Now I can not recommend Swole V2 to you for one reason, studies are out showing that one of the acids found in the product eventually hinders muscle growth, makes u weaker, and is a risk for cradiovascular disease. Defineatly not worth even messing around with for a little extra pump.

There is also swolev12, a different product. I cant tell u right now if it has the same acid, im going to check now, but if it doesnt that seems to work well for people as well.

There are various other hyped up creatines, such as NO-Xplode which is a mix of supped up creatine and nitro.

Ok so past the creatine mark:

If you were going to get into ProHormones I would suggest u start light due to it being ur first, and learning as much as u can about each product before you purchase it. Also know in many cases PCT is needed and also All prohormones/andros/prosteroids whichever u anme them will almost certainly be off the counter(banned) within a few months or more. A bill has alrdy been passed through the house, waiting approval from the Senate.

First Product to get out of the way:
                M1T--- 17-Alpha-Methyl-1-Testosterone.

M1T is actually not a PH first off. (1-testosterone) is an anabolic steroid and should be treated as one, and now the M means its "methylated" making it VERY available to ur body. In other words, ur liver usually breaks down many og the substances that travel through it, but due to the 1-test having the methyl attached to it, the liver can not act upon it leading to ur body consuming most if not all of it.. Its only legal for now for a few minor loop holes.

Bottom line it works great, very strong, much like D-Bol for most ppl, but stronger mG per MG. This product DOES come with sides. Users report:
                Lethargy
                VERY painful back pumps/pains
                Acne
                Agression
                Flu like symptoms
                Raised Blood Pressure
And more. Many ppl have reported some of the sides being so bad, mainly the back pains that they have to discontinue use. M1T is also hard on the liver and shuts ur body down.

So proper PCT is a must. Nolvadex/Clomid suggested, but some ppl get away with 6-oxo/4-hydroxyandrostein which is not a good choice if u want to keep ur gains.

Now suggested dose: 5-10mg a day to start, even 10 throughout a cycle is good, and no more than 20. Take ED and Liver helpers such as Milk Thisle/ALA and much more are suggested, also Hawthorne Berry to keep ur blood pressure in check.

I would not recomend M1T to u since u are a beginner, I WOULD however recommend 1-AD preferably, or just reg 1-test unmethylated so u will see good gains, but less sides and liver harshness.
Use 4-AD if u can while on M1t to combat lethargy and other various sides. Taurine or lots of potassium will stop back pumps.

                __________________________________________________ _

                4-AD

What can I say, works decently, not to pricey, 4-andro, legal, pct is always good, better safe than sorry. 6-oxo not a bad choice. Not bad for a beginner PH
                __________________________________________________ __

                Methyl-D

Another Mehtylated product. It is a little hard on the liver, side effects are generally mild, not many reported. This product is more of a hardner and vascularity improver. Helps cut some bf and can increase strength gains as well. Use 3-5mg a day. dont stay on for more than 4-6 weeks. PCT is good.

I wouldnt recomend this if ur trying to get bigger, and its not the best choice for a beginner.
                __________________________________________________ _

Srry but Ive got to cut it short and run, just keep asking around and looking at various sites, GL to u!

Thanx for taking the time to inform me about some of these products. They sound a little extreme for me. I've only been lifting for a few months, and I've seen plenty of gains. I just need some patience,...and patience is not one of my strong points.

                  As for my workout:
Day 1: Calves, Hams, Glutes, Lower back. & Cardio
Day 2: Biceps, Rear delts, Upper back, forearms, abs. & Cardio
                  Day 3: OFF
Day 4: Calves, Quads, Abs. + Cardio
Day 5: Shoulders, Triceps, Chest, Abs. + Cardio
                  Day 6: OFF

The PH FAQ post at the top of this board was very helpful to me and after you carefully read that most of your pro hormone questions will be answered, but if not then ask away. the vets have always been very helpful to me on this board
