  • Where can I get...

DEXtrose? Is it a brand name or simply the sugar? How much is it and where do you guys get citric acid to mix your own creatine? Cell-Tech is expensive! Also can someone tell me what RLA is? I have never used supplements other than protein so a little advice would help. Thanx!

yep, Powernutrition.net , best suppelement site on the net, hands down.

The citric acid in cell tech is predominately used as a flavor aid, nothing in the way of an ergogenic aid, so its not necessary. R-ala also increases glucose uptake, therefore reducing blood sugar. This is why its primarily used, not totally necessary, but a good addition.

Something like Syntrax Swole or ISS Research's Satur8 are both good and avalilable for a good price at Powernutrition.net but Im all about the homebrew and doing it yourself.

R-Ala plays a role in cell metabolism and is an excellent anti-oxidant.

Look at the effervescent creatine mix down about 10-15 topics. It's a homebrew. The citric acid and bicarbonate are not for flavoring but for pH balance. pH should be 4.0-4.1 which helps with blood buffering. Flavoring can simply be done with Koolaid w/o sugar. Dextrose can be bought at 10lbs for $9.94. Citric acid and potassium bicarbonate can be purchased through any research chem warehouse as they're both legal as well as your pH paper. Read the recipe below. It's one of the best high dextrose transport systems ever developed plus it adds blood buffering. Blood buffering for those who don't know will slow down lactic acid buildup equalling more intense workouts and quicker recovery.
