  • First time PH question??

    I am new to this forum, and I think it's great. I have been weight lifting for 2-3 years, have used creatine and protein with some good results. I am thinking about taking the next step and trying a PH cycle, specifically 1AD & 4AD for 4 weeks followed by 6oxo for 4 weeks, I would like to continue with the creatine and plan to use some protein supplementation.
    I am 38, weigh around 230, with around 20% BF. I am a fulltime firefighter and workout 4 to 5 times a week. This will be my first experience with PH and I would like to know what you think, and any advice you have on the cycle and preventative for side effect. I have been reading about this for weeks and my head is spinning.

    Hello, welcome to the board....


    Good motivation to see the "older" guys actively involved in weight training. Its obvious you have the basics down with the protein and creatine....

    As for a PH cycle, I may just pick the 1-Ad and do it alone, as a first cycle. 4-Ad is great, and good in combination with 1-Ad, but I think you'd see some significant gains in hypertrophy and strength with just the 1-AD (and hey, save yourself some $$$).

    As for the dose, id start with 400mgs a day for 7-10 days, then up the dose accordingly. If you see gains from 400mgs, there's no point in uping it. Have your 6-oxo or novladex on hand in case any problems arise. The 6-oxo should be used accordingly for post cycle recovery.

    Now that you're going to be involved in pro hormones, you may want to slightly adjust your training routine and you'll need to adjust your eating habits to compensate for the rise in hormones. Uping your protein intake, a night time shake, etc. would be a good idea. As for a change in your routine, it wouldnt hurt to add more multi-joint lifts.

      1AD

      I ran 1AD alone, 600mg/day for 6 weeks, and was pretty happy with the results.. My strength shot up, as was expected. An unexpected side was that my weight also shot up.. I went from around 200 to 220 by the end of the cycle. Over the next 2 months I lost all the weight; back down to right around 200.. But my BF is lower, and my strength stayed almost at the level it was while on the 1AD. Overall, I was happy with it, and would recommend it.

      I did not run any post-cycle, but almost definately should have.. I felt like shit for about 2 weeks afterwards, and had lost most sex drive by about 5 weeks in. I am sure some test would have cured this though..

      Just personal experience here.. Not trying to recommend what I did to anyone.

        Nice to hear someone my age starting PH I just ordered a bottle of nordiol never did them before im 37 yrs old , never taken anything other than protien or creatine , anyone have any thought on this ph???

          Who makes the Nordiol you purchased?

          Nordiol is relatively safe, although not much use by itself, in my opinion. Not to mention I wouldnt run it over 4 weeks and Id begin at no more than 600mgs a day. Make sure youre coming off with something, such as 6-oxo.

            The Nordiol is from High Power Products I bought it from BB.com it says it has DIM an estrogen blocker in it with THP ester ? any good?? should I still take 6oxo after using it?
