I am having a bit of trouble with intensity during my workout. I feel strong during the workout, so it is not really tiredness or exhaustiion but rathe the extra oomph that seems to be missing.
I don't think it is what I eat because I eat carbs and an orange about 45 min. before I work out , and I drink Gatorade during and after my workout.
I have always read about caffeine being effective as a vasoconstrictor and therefore providing intensity during a workout. Unfortunately, I am not a coffee drinker.
I wonder if tea will have the same effect? I haven't had tea in ages, but I don't mind trying if it will help.
I have also read about people taking vivarins - don't really want to try stuff that may be habit forming.
Any advice is appreciated.
