  • Bovine Colostrum

Hey dude. What are your thoughts on this stuff? I've heard that it's been shown to be effective for immunity, but haven't seen much on how benefitial it really is for muscle growth. Especially because of the cost. Worth it or no? Or would I be better off going out to the fields at night and :baby: on some cow tits?

isn't colostrum only produced my the nursing mothers (and i would assume all mammals) before she starts producing milk? which would mean that you'd have to find a cow that just gave birth and suck on that tittie... not any cow tittie will do.

:( Damn. Guess i'll have to talk to some of the prego's here in the office. Probably won't have the same effect as bovine though huh?

well, human colostrum is good for the immunity system of the child because they are not yet producing their own antibodies to fight infection, so the colostrum from the mother is full of these goodies. that's where this thought of bovine colostrum having a similar effect probably comes from. but since bovine antibodies and human ones - i would assume - differ, it probably won't do much good.

just go eat more meat ;)

Damn brother, sorry I missed this one somehow (youd think with my own forum, Id at least show up :) )

          Anyway....

I believe the rumor about this product originated in part, like Sana mentioned, its from the mammaries of the mother, designated for used by newborns. Anyway, BC increases Epithelial growth factor (Egf) and Insulin like growth factor (IGF1) and a few other things I dont really remember. So in theory it would be a great supplement/product except its not. Its good in topical creams, etc. but as far as using it to promote hypertrophy, you may as well have some liver tabs.
