  • Pro Rated Protein

YJ, I know you were a big fan of Pro Rated Protein if I'm not mistaken. Any idea why they weren't meeting label claims? I saw a note over at allsportsnutrition.

Their site layout is a bit sloppy, so I cant find the link. However, I would like to see a label claims feedback (testing form) as to what failed in Pro Rated. Could be more carbs than claimed, less protein than claimed, etc. Could be a reason why it tasted so good. Im very disappointed as I was/am a huge Pro Rated advocate, and was really the first to jump on it's bandwagon.

Like I said, Im not doubting Allsportsnutrition, just would like a confirmation on why it claims it fails label claims.

This is all it says .....They could have just decided to push another line .I hate to be cynical but we all know how these things work...

        Pro-Rated 100% Whey 10 lb. Chocolate - pro1001

        OUT OF STOCK!!!
The label claims were not correct and we are dropping this line. We apologize for not finding this out sooner. We are switching our customers to the SOLID WHEY by Solid Muscle, Inc. 10lbs is $36.99! TASTE and QUALITY are better AND meets label.

Interesting for sure..... if youre going to call a company and a very popular supplement out, you better back it up with a label claims test or something valid, not what was done in this situation. Someone needs to call Allsport out...

Is there anyway to contact Protein USA and see what they have to say about it? Do they have a website or anything?

call all sports nutrition. they're a pretty small company and could probably just send you the test results if they have them. i've used them b4 - i like 'em cuz of the flat rate shipping...

Yeah I was about to start a new post on the subject b4 I found this thread. I see that Powernutrition is no longer carrying it either. I was about to order some more. Is it now pulled from the market YJ? You were the one to turn me onto them in the first place.

I just found out about the pro-rated protein this past week, when I went to order more from all sports nutrition.

I searched around the net and found this thread.

I emailed all sports nutrition, and this is what they had to say.

"It seems that the protein was lower, carbs where higher, sugars higher, and
                      cholesterol higher."

However, I haven't really found any supporting data to support their claims.

If anyone has any further information against or for either side, I'd like to hear it.

                      Thanks
                      Josh

Shit, a friend of mine just bought four tubs of this shit. I better tell him to get it tested.

OK, he tested his pro-rated for protein content and found 23 grams protein per scoop on average. This agrees pretty well with the 22 grams per scoop claimed on the label. He didn't test for carb or suger content or for cholesterol so I can't say anything about that but the protein at least is right on. His tests were averages of powder taken from two different tubs ordered at different times several weeks apart. I think this should put this nasty little rumor to rest. I wonder who started them in the first place.....a competitor maybe?

I agree Spidey, if youre going to call someone out, have your lunch packed and your data ready..... pretty weak.
