    I am trying to put together a list of supplements my dad could use to help lose some weight. I'm also redoing his diet and he'll be doing at least an hour of cardio a day. So far I was planning on:

    ALCAR
    R-ALA
    Taurine or CoQ-10 -- any preferences or experience with either?
    Green Tea

    And I've been considering suggesting and would appreciate any comments or experiences for:
    Synephrine HCl
    Caffeine pills
    Guggelsterones
    Choline--I've heard it's good in conjunction with the ALCAR?
    Biotin

    Thanks-my problems are in gaining weight, so the weight loss thing is tougher for me. I lose weight just thinking about it-probably lost a lb just typing that sentence!

    What about an ECA stack?

    Also, IMHO- I would not start him off doing an hour of cardio a day. What about weight traing 3 days a week and 30 min of cardio 5 days a week to start? As you know, weight training will burn more calories. And, the reason I say start w/ 30 min is if you start him out an hour a day, his body will respond for awhile, but then get used to what he is doing. In order for him to keep losing you would obviously have to increase him level or time of activity. To have the best chances of keeping it off, you need to start slow and make small increases.

      He is adament about not using anything with ephedra or ephedrine cause he believes the media propoganda. He has actually been doing cardio awhile and is going to be doing a 500mile bike ride with me so he has to do a bunch of cardio. He just want to have to pedal less weight around! I've expounded numerous times to him about how weight training keeps the metabolism up for an extended length of time and he has started doing it for about 20-25minutes a day but it's crunch time now!

        Heres a few of the top of my head:
        L-Tryosine - I like in the AM.
        (keep me up one night stronger than I thought)
        Lipo-6 (stack similar to what you already mentioned)
        *I would research this further.

        Caffiene (oral 20-mins before cardio)
        Green Tea - anytime, just not before bed.
        (I found the actual tea far exceeded the extract as far as aiding in w8t loss.)
        Calcium - b4 bed and in the AM.
        Multi-v

        Plus these which can be found in energy drinks.
        L-phenalalanine
        Taurine
        vanadyl suffate
        Folic Acid
        Vit B3, 6, 12
