I work at a restaurant, and (ironically) it's a little hard to put together a good meal, so I was wondering, am I better off buying MRP packets, such as Met-RX MRPs, or buying a weight gainer, like Up Your Mass, and taking it in ziploc bags? I'm trying to pack on some lean weight, so this would help me make sure I'm "eating" consistently

MRP vs weight gainer

If it's an actual meal you are trying to replace, the MRP is the obvious choice. Weight gainers generally contain alot of sugar and alot of them do not contain the nutrients that MRPs do. Not to mention, they generally have a more ideal ratio of fat, carbs and protein. MRPs are expensive, but damn are they nice to have around when you have no time to eat.
BTW, Muscle Milk is considered an MRP too. It is bought in more of a bulk type tub instead of packets, so it's just a little less expensive and tastes sooooooo good.

Up Your Mass is a great MRP if you want to put on lean mass-doesn't have all the simple carbs and also has casein protein. I highly recommend it.Originally posted by go YankeesI work at a restaurant, and (ironically) it's a little hard to put together a good meal, so I was wondering, am I better off buying MRP packets, such as Met-RX MRPs, or buying a weight gainer, like Up Your Mass, and taking it in ziploc bags?
