The author is a highly regarded professor of medicine at UCSD. He has given Centrum high scores as a multivitamin. While the book is a bit dated (circa 1990), the conclusion was that Centrum was one of the best multivitamins on the market. Maybe there are others in the last 15 years that have surpassed Centrum, but that doesn't make Centrum worthless.

I would like to know if you have references that support your viewpoint.

for a bodybuilder or a person with a high activity level centrum is not giving you what you need. and by the way, yes many MUCH better multi-vits have come to market and are much better since 1990. LOL

I like the GNC Ultra Mega, it's probably one of the most potent timed-release multivitamin, and for the money, you can't really complain.

Solgar V2000 and Solgar "Earth Source" are awesome multis.
I too have been using GNC mega Men vitamins....pretty good product considering GNC's rep.

AST Multi-Pro 32X, is pretty cheap for a timed-release vitamin.

PS - Stay away from multis' with too much iron in them (ie. AST)

I use the GNC mega men sport. I actually work at GNC so I get things discounted. Yes many people who work at GNC will lie to you just to sell bullshit vitamins. Not to mention most know nothing about the products.
