I followed his products for a time at another board, but I just could not keep up with all the "new and great" products coming out quarterly... Like when superdrol was touted as not going to make it past the ban, and it was sold for 65 dollars a bottle..... Great marketing..
More importantly than supplements, what does your diet consist of.. and how do you train...How old are you
I am 35. I am 6'3" and my weight is 214 at 17-18%BF. I train 4 times a week hitting each body part every 7 days. My diet is around 3200-3500 calories a day with around 220-240 grams of protein, 65-75 Grams of fat. Most of my carbs come from oatmeal, sweet potatoes and barilla protein pasta, and dextrose with pwo shake. My suppliments include Multi, CEE, Whey, and Flax.
Bro, I have not used the supplements you refer to, nor have I kept up with how they work by user feedback etc... They are supposed to make up a stack called "NHA"= Non Hormonal Anabolic stack... If you really want to know about all his products and how they are stacked I recommend you visit the board that talks mainly about his products ie anabolicminds... You dont read of many hear using them.. Not saying they dont work, just not discussed here... Superdrol is of course one of his baby's that he sold to anabolic extreme.
Check out this post by YJ to see where you stand with calories on your diet.. It is a great read
supposedly protein pasta isn't a smart diet idea, I think it has a high glycemic index or something, despite it being high-protein, or whole-grain or something...sorry I can't quote my source here...try brown rice too
Hey, I'm new to the board and figured I'd chime in.
One thing that might concern you at your age (not to say that you're old :P) is the possibility for androgenic side effects from ActivaTe. It works by binding to Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) which increases your ratio of "Free" testosterone to total testosterone. This also leaves room for the testosterone to convert to estrogen via aromatase, but Rebound XT is an aromatase inhibitor, so stacking the two should (in theory) increase free testosterone without increasing estrogen.
The other possibility for this is that the free Testosterone can convert to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which in more androgenic than testosterone. This is not so much of a concern for most people, but if you are susceptible to thinning hair, it can exacerbate that. I think that using a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor like finasteride (same ingredient in propecia and other men's hair growth products) would mitigate this though, as less 5-alpha-reductase means less conversion of free tesosterone to DHT.
Either way, I've read a few accounts of ActivaTe users who have reported jumps in libido and increase in oilyness and acne, so be ready for those if you go for it.
Naturally, I'd suggest seeing your doctor first to make sure everything is clear, health-wise, and you might consider getting a hormone panel to figure out what your baseline is, tell you doc what you're considering doing, and see if he'll help you out with periodical blood tests to track how the supplements work and make sure nothing is too out of the ordinary.
Thanks for the reply and your insight. I was under the impression that activate actually added to prostate support. The benifits stated on their website are:
Increased blood sugar and insulin control (general health and fat loss);
- Nitric Oxide (NO) boosting;
- Promotes prostate health;
- Anti-hypertensive properties (maintains healthy blood pressure);
- Anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-ulcer and anti-inflammatory behaviour; and
- Promotes healthy cholesterol levels (HDL especially).
I know not to believe everything you read regarding suppliments and that's why I am trying to do some research first.
Any additional info is appreciated and thanks again for the help!!
I read up on it and found this if you're curious to know the mechanism. ActivaTe would indeed be good for the prostate. I was overlooking the action in the prostate itself and assuming it was systemic. I'd assume you would still have to worry about hair-loss if that's a concern, but I'll keep reading and post anything useful if I find it.
Taking what you read from supplements with a grain of salt is definitely a good idea, but the guys at DS are very straightforward, helpful, and honest in my experience, so I would say you can trust them a great deal. Thanks for pointing that out; I enjoy a good cause-and-effect hunt.
