  • Cell-Tech or Muscle Milk?

Whats up fellas....I recently just went to a local supplement store and picked up 2lbs of musclemilk and a 1lb of cell-tech, but now it looks like I may have gotten two conflicting products. Can I take both at the same time or if not, which one is better to take. Im looking more to put on more muscle and get more cut. Since I last posted on here, my diet is 100X better than before and im staying away from oils and saturated fats.

Btw....musclemilk instructs one shake before and one while working out, and one after working out, and one prior to bedtime.

While Cell-Tech instructs to drink one in the morning and after working out during the load period (5 days). Then after that loading period, you are to take one serving after working out, and if you arent working out that day, take one in the AM.

First of all, it looks like you didn't pay attention to YJ's comments regarding GNC or other local stores vs. online retailers. You'll spend a lot less money online and also on non-muscletech products, which are rediculously overpriced compared to similar products from other manufacturers.
On to the real question. I don't know why you think the two are conflicting. Celltech is a creatine product and musclemilk is a meal-replacement product. They are both best used for bulking. I also don't think that the best times for use of the two overlap at all either. Musclemilk is high in fat, so definitely should not be used post-workout (pwo). The celltech can be taken pwo, especially since it is so high in simple carbs, which are best pwo. In fact, the carbs in the cell-tech are a good source of muscle-glycogen refueling carbs. You want little to no fat pwo, so that is a terrible time for fat. You should be using a whey protein powder in addition to the celltech for your pwo nutrition.

As far as using the musclemilk, I could see using it before bed and perhaps for another meal during the day, but it is certainly not to be used pwo, and it does not interfere with the cell-tech usage. Hope this helps!

wow, thanks man...that really helps a lot. I know cell-tech is expensive, ill have to read up next time. The good thing is, that I can return it for a full refund.....also can I mix the cell-tech and basic whey protein together for a pwo shake or should those be seperated?

I'm sure you can mix them if you'd like cause they're gonna mix in your stomach anyway. The flavor might be a little weird though!

haha, if you bought it at GNC you wont be able to refund it. when you buy it there'll tell you that you can return it if you want but if you try to, they wont let you.

i had a friend that worked at GNC and people would always ask if they could return something if it doesnt work and he would tell them yes but then if they tried, he wouldnt refund them.

i always thought that shit was funny as hell. it was the owner of the store that ran it like that. GNC's are franchised but at the same time its against GNC policy to tell people they cant return things so they would tell people initially they could but if they actually tried they would tell them they have to write a letter to the company or some stupid shit for a refund.

People that would always come into that GNC were idiots anyway. They would ask my friend questions that you would ask you doctor you know. its like man, i work the counter at GNC and your asking me for medical advice? haha

Totally agree. They aren't conflicting products, they are totally different products. Like comparing apples to oranges. They will both do different things to grow muscle.
