  • Caffeine abuse

Has anybody experienced any connection between caffeine and stomach cramping? I've perhaps started taking more caffeine than I would consider healthy in the morning (200mg in tabs and then 200mg dissolved in a Powerade that I sip during the workout). Whenever I do this, I get severe stomach cramping and total loss of appetite in the late afternoon. I've never experienced or heard of this before. Anybody else heard of or had this happen to them?
Maybe I'll have to switch stimulants to avoid the high caffeine--maybe an EC or ECY stack.

I take 48mg ephedrine and 200mg caffine normally, but I bumped it up to 400 mg caffine and had no problems. Sounds a little strange to me.

I've determined that it's caffeine-induced, pain-predominant IBS. I'm just gonna have to watch my caffeine intake, I guess.

Alright, I nominate myself for dumbass of the week. I've been taking these caffeine pills assuming that they were 100mg each, so I've taken as many as 5 in about 1.5-2hrs. They are actually 200mg each, so that probably explains some of my reactions to it! I'm so damn careful about what I eat and what I put in my body and screw up on something stupid like this. Oh well, live and learn.

LOL. I drink alot of coffee in the morning. Caffeine does affect the walls of your stomach and acid production. I suffered from acid reflux for long time. Caffeine, alcohol, or carbonated drinks were a no no. Caffeine is a diet suppressant. exp dexitrium.
I do take caffeine and ephdrine before my workoutbut not all the time. The body gets used to it. Effects don't seem the same after months of use. Stop taking it all the time.
