  • Two part question involving pre and post workout supplementation

    Looking for pre and post workout suggestions.. preworkout i usually comsume 20-30g protein and 30-40g carbs but i am looking for something to give me that amped and energetic feeling.. i have used no xplode before and was thinking of trying it again, is there something better to try?

    Second, currently post workout i consume 50g whey and 60g dextrose.. i have read about waxy maize but is it worth forking out the extra dough for it or is the dextrose i have been using just as effective?

    As far as pre workout goes, a lot of people have great results with White Flood by Controlled Labs. SuperPump 250 also isn't too bad. Personally, I have never gotten huge results from these type pre-workout products. In fact, I got my best results when I was focusing more on my pre-workout meal than my pre workout supplements. Thats why I am trying P-Slin starting next week. I think I'll get better results because I'll actually be using food for that extra boost.

    For Post-Workout. A lot of people have great results with dextrose/maltodextrin. Personally, I bough a big tub of Waxy Maize 4 months ago for $40 and I've still got more left. And I use it after EVERY workout. Its called Carb-Slam by Primaforce. Not too terribly expensive at all.

      another reason that i am considering switching to waxy is because using strictly dextrose is becoming WAY too sweet

        NO Xplode is old news. Newer products like Controlled Labs White Flood & Universal's Shock Therapy are the golden standard in pre workout supplements now. Not to mention theyre cheaper.

          Ya bro, definitely have Malto-Dextrin post workout or the Primaforce Carb Slam

          I personally add 1 scoop of Malto-Dextrin (50g) with my 50g protein shake post workout.
