I was wondering if drinking a 50g mix of this in a glass of Orange Juice would be a good idea before my workout. the reason I am sayin this is the other day I had some extra shake left in my blender that I could fit in my container to bring with me for after my workout so I just drank it then I thought nothing of it, but during my workout I was super pumped up, people I didnt even kno commented on it and I had super energy and strength, I reviewed what I had done different and that was the only conclusion I could come to, I was just thinking it was just my body processing the simple carbs causing my blood vessels to swell giving me more of a pump. But the increase in strength because of increased endurance was welcomed.

I use Dextrose post workout and post workout only with my protein shake. It replaces glycogen that has been lost during the workout.

I haven't heard of anyone using it pre.

so you usually drink a 50g mix of dex and malto. and this past time you drank it with orange juice and got a bigger pump. well the would be because you increased your sugar consumption. nothing more, has nothing to do with orange juice. you could simply increase your dex and malto mix.

No, he said he drank it PRE instead of POST workout.

Sometimes, if my last meal is more than an hour and a half or so before the workout I drink my PWO shake during my workout. If not I get hungry and feel like I lose energy. Then afterwords I eat a solid meal and dont have another shake.

Maybe try drinking half of the shake before and half after and then bump your PWO meal up a little bit. Its just like everything else, you have to listen to your body.
