wen should i take glutamine

they gave me a little tub of glutamine sr as a gift... when would be the best time to throw this in? or with these sups is it unneeded?

I take mine right after working out, I usaly take 1-2 grams per serving. Got the same deal 2lbs protein and free glutamine.
