  • Proto Whey

Anyone ever hear of this shit?

The superior nutritional value of proto whey is based upon two new proprietary components: 1. a super reduced molecular size responsible for extremely high di & tri peptided content for the best absorption..2. Micronized SoftPsil fiber technology which creates a host of synergistic funtions naturally enhancing protein absorption and intestinal health.

Protein molecules are chains of amino acids called peptides. The human body can absorb only very small di and tripeptieds, larger peptides must be enzymatically broken down (hydrolyzed)before any absorption can occur. Beef, poultry, fish ect ect have no di and tripeptides and have average peptide size rangeing from 40,000 -100,000 daltons which reqire significant breakdown time and limit average absorption to 30%at best. Proto whey is extreme hydrolyzed whey fraction protein which contians over 55% di and tripepetieds. It has an average peptide size slightly over 2,000daltons. Proto whey requires virtually no acitve breakdown by teh body allwoing for swift and total absorption, even in many states of compromised intestinal function.

Most protein supplements are liquids with either no fiber or fiber of very low quality and swell ratio. Liquids travel through the intestines extremely fast allowing very little time for breakdown of large peptides. Proper dietary fiber can greatly increase the time food stays in the proximal bowel. The higher the swell ration of the fiber, the greater time availalbe for breakdown and absorption.Protein drinks with out sufficint quality fiber results in poor absorption, gas, and unhealthy and irregual elimination.

Proto whey contians SoftPsil, a propritary new form of micronized psyllium fiber with the highest natural swell voume possible. This assures complete protien absorption and healthy formation of soft, regular elimination.

      Proto Whey

I was wondering the same thing... if anyone had any insight to offer about this product. However this seems to be the only post I see... and no replies.

I am currently studying to get my CPT through NESTA and they mention this product (Proto Whey) as the #1 product on the market today. They point out that it is 100% absorpable, compared to an average 30% of most other products.

I can't seem to find any info online (reviews, etc) on this product. My concern is that the mention of this product in my program seems more like a product endorsement vs. a simple statement of a superior quality product. :hmm:

      Any help would be appreciated!
      :D

um. where can a person find the specific study that finds that micronized psyllium intake increases protein absorption to any significant degree let alone up to 100%.

not that i give a shit personally about this, but the original post seems to have been a paid shill. The internet has revolutionized the way the supplement companies promote and advertise their products.

This is why no one gave it the slightest bit of attention with respect to posts. the 'bump' is a dead giveaway. i ain't a mod but it seems to be a product placement by a company that doesn't sponsor the board.

Many people are innocently posting similar items, not realizing that by repeating the ads on the bottle labels, they are making it appear to be just another shill game. this is what some of the supp companies ( the ones with little if any corporate if not personal integrity at the individual level ) are doing.

        as always, it's buyer beware.

Proto whey is just hydrolized whey protein, which is just whey that has been predigested. If done correctly, it will yield superior nitrogen retention, however, most hydrolized proteins on the market are broken down too far that they lose almost all of their nutritional content. I'd rather stick to WPI's, but that's just me. Here's a site you can get the proto whey from.
