Well lets look at the findings. Based upon the study and references I could find lets not get too excited.
The study wasn't randomized. In the scientific community the standard, or holy grail is typically a randomized double blind study to test a specific thing. This was not.
More importantly it wasn't a random double blind study to look for a relationship between fish oil and prostate cancer. The researchers went back after the fact and looked at a blood analysis in a group of men that were part of study to determine the effects of selenium and Vitamin E on prostate cancer.
It did not include analysis of dietary intake or supplementation as a whole, and it didn't address the fatty acids and overall outcome for men diagnosed with cancer.
And lastly, they show no link and can draw no link between plant based Omega 3s and prostate cancer, only those found in fatty fish and those supplements.
So while this study on the face is interesting, it is also far from conclusive. Additionally there are multiple studies showing the benefits of these types of fats. Also, the study fails to show what "excessive" dosage means, or how they determined it. Again, below are some links to studies showing benefit. Now with that said, anything in excess has the potential to harm the body. You can die from drinking to much water. I think supplementation aids the body in achieving homeostasis, but like anything can be overdone.
More importantly, if you are engaged in AAS, then you need to be cognizant of what your body is doing while doing so. Blood pressure, blood thickness, Cholesterol, insulin levels etc. Blood work is essential, and concurrently supplementation to counteract or control adverse effects of anabolics can be helpful I think. Just my two cents.

Interesting. Since I no longer have a prostate, I shouldn't have to worry. Actually, I switched to flax seed oil awhile back.Originally posted by lipripper View Post
