  • Beef Protein vs Whey post workoout

Is there any advantage?I normally use Muscletech Phase 8 or Dymatize Elite because I get them cheap. I used about 3 tubs of Musclemeds Carnivore. I couldnt tell much if any difference. Honestly, through the years the only change i have made in my post workout shake that I could tell a difference in was changing from 2 scoops to 1. It lasts longer, it doesnt tear my stomach up, and I cant tell a difference in muscle growth. What say you?

In the past you said you didn't notice a difference. You think you look better due to replacing your shakes with whole food? I have a difficult time eating after working out. A shake and some grape juice goes down easy.

Honestly Ive been thinking alot about this. I am rapidly getting away from supps. The guy with the best physique at my gym does this. Post workout he can be found in the lobby eating 2 chicken breast rice and broccoli.I think Im gonna try this.It seems like when most people take supps. they tend to take more and more while in turn getting away from whole food.

Whole foods def are the way to go if you can accomodate it. I lift before work now, so have to take whey with me to chug on my drive into work after the gym. I do know that I made some of my best gains last spring when I consistently pounded down shakes 3x a day 7 days a week. Was eating like a horse as well though too...

Agree with Bouncer - my body feels better since switching to 'real' food - shakes are emergency/convenience for me now. I carry this/keep this in my trunk when I'm gonna be out for the day or if I'm doing a looong gym day: Innovator 500 Black - Bags

Although, if I wake late on a lifting day morning, I love this shit - I *could* drink it all day long. It's a great 1:1.5 Carb : Protein ratio and super clean: protein & oats - vanilla cinnamon - 2 lb. | MET-Rx You can get it on Amazon for $17.50/tub with free shipping (Prime).

You will have to experiment. Some people prefer whole foods like chicken,,beef,,fish,,egss,,etc.. while others prefer protein supplements or shakes. I like whey isolate right after training and a whole food meal around an hour later..
