GNC reports $433 million fourth-quarter loss leading up to rebranding campaign | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
GNC today reported a fourth quarter loss of $433.4 million for the Pittsburgh-based vitamin and supplement retailer, a result that interim CEO Bob Moran said was “certainly not what any one of us wanted to see.”
The loss reflects a 12 percent drop in domestic sales among company-owned stores, as well as a $10 million expense to ready the company for its One New GNC marketing rebranding launched in late December.
A year ago, the company reported a profit of $42.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2015.
