  • Workout Routine Questions

    First post here - great website!

    I am a 6'3" 35 year old man who got in the gym about 2 months ago seriously after 15 years. I had put on ALOT of weight and have gone from an out of shape 352lbs. to a gettin' there 294lbs in 2 months.

    I workout every other day and am finding it easier now to go through my workout. Now I'm thinking about a more concentrated routine.

    I've read that it's good to concentrate opposite muscle groups in the same workout (bi's and tri's)... but what are some of your routines that you use? I'd like to maximize my size for my time in the gym and while losing weight is great....I'm going for the look and the massive thing here.

    Are there any free links to any routines out there? I've seen some, but they all want too much money for me to spend right now.

    Also, ephedra was my friend. I know that it can cause problems, but is there a replacement for a pre-workout drink to give me that animal pump during the workout?

    You'll have to forgive me I'm new and not sure where to go here. Any advice you can give would be appreciated.

    Bro, I would look through all of the posts on this section, guys are always laying out their routines and asking for criticism so you can pick up a lot. Also, all of the muscle mags will lay out a few routines in each issue and their are a ton of decent body building books at the book store for under $20. Jarhead just laid out a nice rountine in his recent post. It is probably a little full for you so you could pick and choose a bit. When you are doone with your research, type up what you are thinking and we'll let you know our thoughts.

      After posting this I noticed his post there. I just happened on the site while "working" er I mean surfing. I'll read more and post later tonight.
