  • Dips for chest

I can't never do these right for some reason...I usually do these last in my chest exercise and my arms are usually burnt out so I can't really do them 2 good either that or my form isn't right...Its sort of difficult for me 2 do...I can do dips for tri's easier though. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

Try and tilt your body back like you're doing a push up.

If you're doing traditional parallel bar dips, with your elbows close to your sides, you're triceps are probably too tired to perform the lift. It's my experience that this type of dip concentrates more on the tris rather than the chest, anyway. If you're looking to do dips for CHEST then invert your hands (so your four fingers are on the inside of the bars and your thumbs are on the outside). Allow your elbows to flare out wide and lean forward slightly. Now dip. Hope this helps.

here is a tip, pre-exhaust your chest muscles with either a crossover or flye and then immediatley jump on the dips. that way your triceps won't hold you back and your chest will get a good workout out of them. and make sure you stick your chest out when you do them.
