  • biceps are unbalanced

After 4 months of really working out, i can now tell that my right bicep is bigger, it measures bigger by almost 1/2 inch..because i'm right handed....so, whats the best way to correct this? should i stop doing my bicep work out and only do left side with dumb bells for a couple of months.. i really dont want to stop working both arms..or should i add a few more sets with dumb bell's for the left arm after my normal workout??

    i appreciate the advice

I dunno, I have the same problem. I always thought it was neurological because my back is crooked. My whole right side is slightly more developed then my left with the exception of my legs, where it is the left side that is slightly more developed.

It is natural for your right arm to be larger if you are right handed. You just use it more often. I would recommend keep on working your arms but let your left arm set the pace, start with your left on dumbbells and only do the reps it can do, also work the barbells some and the machines. On the preacher machine think about using your left more. This has helped me.

exactly. but dont just start adding sets to your bicep workout. if added sets would make your muscle bigger, than why not just add sets all around? dont overtrain it. itll just shrink. what also might help is right before bed. flex your left bicep in a few different positions. pretend you have a dumbell and do 8-10 reps. i found this to be effective when i tried to even out my triceps.

my right bicep is a little smaller than my left and im right handed... go figure. But in time they will become even, do not only workout the lagging arm. Also only work your biceps once a week, anymore and more than likely they are being overtrained. Make sure you train your tris hard as hell too- they are 2/3s of your arm

im not sure if someone mentioned this, but until you get them even, then do exercises that require both arms to work simultaneously (ie barbell curls, preachers w/straight or cambered, cable curls)

about two years ago i had surgery on my right shoulder, so naturally my left bicep was slightly bigger than my right bicep. i was only 16 at the time, so i new it wouldnt mess me up too bad. now, it appears as if my left is larger, the peak anyway, but infact it actually isn't. if you take a look at a lot of the pro body builders, you will notice that one arm, or a quad might appear slightly larger than the other side. its our genetics way of screwing us over. dont worry about it, just keep training hard
