  • Oh yea...what routine?

    I was wondering what kind of routines you guys go through...how long ur in the gym, etc.

    i've been told to work no longer than an hour or else its useless and becomes more or an endurance workout...

    I usually do 10,8,6,fail sets for each exercise...

    Chest/Tri's
    1. bench
    2. tri overhead
    3. incline benchor dumbell press
    4. "v" pulldown
    5. pec deck or decline bench
    6. dips

    Back/Bi's
    1. hammers or curls
    2. row
    3. preachers
    4. lat pulldown
    5. standing raise
    6. reverse curls followed by a set of speed curls

    Shoulders/Legs
    1. Shoulder dumbell press
    2. leg press
    3. shrugs
    4. squats
    5. shoulder execise i cant remember at the moment
    6. calve raise

    *also is it ok to do abs afterwards everyday?
    i've been liftin for almost a year with my buddy this is what we came up with and were pretty young in age. Any comments or sugguestions would be appreciated. Your routine posted would be greatly appreciated too.

    If you have been doing this for a year you should switch it up entirely. Avoid switching muscle groups between sets. Do all you chest and then all your triceps, etc. You might want to switch up your days a bit too.

      I gree completely. As I was reading this I was thinking wow that's odd.

      By doing what your doing your smaller muscle group will fail to soon and not give it's larger counterpart the workout it needs.
      for instance if your bi's give out your are going to have problems finishing off your back.

      Work you back first. this will pre exaust you bi's and then you can finish them off with a few sets.

        thanks guys nah i've only been doin this for a couple months....what kind of muscles do u suggest working each day

          A lot of newer to the game guys like the following split:

          Chest / Tris
          Back / Bis
          Shoulders
          Legs

          More advanced would be:

          Chest
          Back
          Quads / Calves
          Shoulders
          Bis / Tris
          Hams / Calves

            so i should do all chest exercises then do all tricep exercies?

              Do each bodypart completely before going on to another one.Don`tv do chest ,then triceps then go back to cest etc.
