I built my own gym in my basement, I used to go to the local ymca but that pretty much sucked and it takes so much less time to walk downstairs than drive to a gym. And it's very satisfying to have built everything myself except my leg press/hack squat machine. The most expensive part is buying all the weight itself.

We work out at the local aquaplex/sportsplex, I like it cause its really cheap, $70 for three months. They have all the equipments and free-weights, but its so SMALL and when it gets busy, it gets so crowded especially in the free-weight room!! We like going in the early morning or later when its not so crowded. The thing that sucks is that they recently changed their times and close REALLY early on the weekends! I think they give some sort of discounts to students cause a lot of young punks go in there and are most of the time jerking off.....taking up space on the machines for nothing cause they don't know what they are doing!!! Oh and they play crappy music, but I think thats standard for a lot of gyms. LOL

Our membership will expire in April, and when it is up I think we are going to go look at bally's or the 24 hour gym....there isn't a gold's gym close-by or we would go check that one out too!!

I think thats pretty cool that some of you have got your own gym going in your basements/garages...that sounds sweet!! I think I would miss the gym though after awhile cause even though they are a lot of punks that get on our nerves, we always find cool people there too and some are a good source of motivation.

I workout at my College cause the gym is like two to three years old, and is nice looking. Big enough to get must of my workout done. Dummbbell go up to 120lbs. They is just about anything for me to get anything done.

I started there as a skinny boy 6" feel tall and 130lbs. LOL! sad huh but in 5 to 6 month got to 180lbs with 9.5 % bf.

During those time I when and visit the Gold's Gym, and 24Hours Fitness but there is nothing better than my College Gym even if is smaller.

Like: The Gym is Free for me can not beat that.

Don't Like: Can not enter the gym until 11am cause of clases and in the summer or school breaks they only have it open 3 times a week.

I go to my POS gym at school cause I can't afford a gym, but last year I went to the best gym, IMO. When I joined it there were no pricks, and was mostly a few hardcore guys who were more than willing to help me out. It had a sprkinkling of pricks that were just rich and there to be bitches, but most of the guys were really nice. Now, there are way too many college guys who I just wanna hit upside the head. I still love the gym though.

I've worked out at Iron Works, Body Dynamics, 54th Steet Gym and Golds...I now train in my garage which I have converted into my own gym complete with smith machine and olympic bars, weights, etc. I like training at home with my wife...no distractions and I don't have to get somewhere to work out or wait on equipment once I get there...It used to get ridiculous trying to gather all the 45lb plates in the gym just to do squats...No problems now

I live in such a small town that when you join the gym, they give you a key. I go in at 10pm. No one is ever thaere at that hour! It's like having a real nice home gym, without having to purchase the equipment.

Plus, I can play whatever music I like as loud as I want!
