  • Rapid workouts ? How long to wait between sets ?

Hi all. I was wondering if there was more success at not waiting real long before sets.. I have bros who wait like a minute or 2.
Usually I wat about 20-30 seconds...
I know its important to switch it up... ill give an example of yesterdays workout :

    [ back-bi's ]

    stretch
foward pull downs.. 10 reps right to
back pull downs... 10 reps ..
pause 20 seconds (ususally the time it takes to switch the weights..and a few breaths)
    reverse grip narrow pull downs..

    i will do this 3x

then I go right into rope curls.. light weight squeeze..to start

then I repeat the above and but when I do the bi's over I increase the weight

finishing up with super sets for each exercise

next is sit down rows.. similiar approach to above

then I go to the (g-flexer) machine "?"
the one you lay face down on and hold the weight in your crossed arms and raise up .. to hit the lower back

Every 2nd week I do heavy weight and lower reps..

I am going to for a more hardend chiselled look.

Please let me know what you think ? Do I need to wait longer between exercises ? what other kinds of approachs can I try ? Thanks all

Strength training should be 30-seconds to a minute between sets, incomplete recovery

depends on your goals. ATP regeneration usually completes in about 3 minutes. so if you want to try to be at full strength for a set then some guys wait that long. there is also such a thing as anaerobic conditioning-that is where you condition your body to be more productive in an enviroment with low oxygen. so if you keep your sets almost close together or back to back you will achieve anaerobic conditioning which is good for high-intensity sports. I like to do about 1 minute to two minutes. I don't like being in the gym for too long and this is a way to keep your workouts shorter.
