    anyone do a cruise period???

    we lift 4 weeks very heavy with static sets, rest - pause sets etc,etc

    then take 2 weeks to cruise--basic sets , little lighter weight to give the body a break --then repeat

    anyone else do this

    we also do only 2 working sets per exercise -- balls out

    THe only thing I would say that if you really want to give the body a break you need to take off lifting completely. Even light lifting will act as a stressor on your body so all you are getting is less results with almost the same amount of stress to your General body systems. If I were to do that type of lifting I would do 5-6 weeks then actually take off 1-2 weeks.
