  • How long does it take to get back at it?

I took two weeks and a few days off from the gym during xmas, due to a chest cold and well...it was also Christmas.
My question, how long does it take to get back at it in the gym? Should I just go full force right away, or take a week to get back into routein? I feel like such a fatty.

I don't think it would take 2 weeks if you were comitted before. Go in the first week expecting a little soreness, and take it from there.

I agree, I myself would do a couple light workouts to see where I was at. But two weeks off should be nothing unless you were really run down by the sickness.

I've found that whenever I take time off the first week back is hard psychologically and physically. After it's all done I'm fine but it does take a week to boost it all back into gear. Just stick it through and you will be good to go.

Same here. My diet went to shite during the two weeks I was off as I hardly ate and I din't train hard last week. Yesterday was hard as hell. I was tired, could only get 225 incline press twice before I quit.

a rest is good from time to time... i bet you will find out that you are stronger than before now that you are fully rested... maybe take a day or two to ease into it.... but i doubt you have lost much.
