Just got back into things from a 2 year off hiatus. Anyhow, recently started playing softball, and after three practices I am torn up. My right shoulder, elbow hurt real bad and my knee's and ankles dont feel to good. I know I must have gotten out of control and overdone it. But I seem to be the only one that got tendonitis. I know a few others that havent played in a long time, but they are fine. I have gotten tendonitis before, so I know what it feels like. I get it anytime I start to run, so I always end up having to stop running or leg training. Also I am wanting to get back into the gym as well, (been too busy) but don't want to suffer the pain. Anyone have any good recommendations for this?

Always, always, always get in a good warm up, first thing. Stretching NEVER comes before a warm up either. Stretch after your warm up.
To protect your shoulders, do some very light lateral raises and external rotations or some good 'ole arm circles. For knees, do some light walking, maybe some body weight squats.
It sounds like you jumped into it a bit quick. Take it easy for a couple weeks and do the warm ups all the time.

Most definately. I remember a couple of years ago when I was still dancing I had tendonitis in my right shoulder, definately from climbing the poles too much and sometimes it would flare up so bad I couldn't raise my arm! Warming up and stretching my arms did help. Also sometimes I would put heat on it at night, that seemed to relieve some of the pain. Also I had to lay off working my arms and using those muscles for a while. Oh yeah, and I know these things are not so healthy but when I worked I would down those BC powders about every 4 hours and they REALLY REALLY worked!! These are some of the things that helped me. Hope you feel better soon!

"What causes tendonitis?
The most common cause of tendonitis is overuse. Commonly, individuals begin an exercise program, or increase their level of exercise, and begin to experience symptoms of tendonitis. The tendon is unaccustomed to the new level of demand, and this overuse will cause an inflammation and tendonitis.

I'm not sure how old you are, but if it's chronic as you suggest it might very well be a mild form of early onset arthritis, you may wish to have it seen by a dr. before the games take some aleve and after as well to keep the inflammation down. a great home-made heatwrap (that won't cost $5 a pop) is to take an sock, fill it with rice, tie off the open end and microwave it for a minute or two. It's a good form of "wet" heat and lasts quite a while and you can apply it to the aching area. heal up bro.
