  • when did you get a 500 lb deadlift?

Well, today I did some front squats, I made it up to 315 finally. Then I did deadlift. 405, no problem for 8. 455, they felt really good for 6. I looked at my friend and said, I'm going for 500. Well, I didn't wear my belt today so I don't know if that was a factor, but I tried 500 and as soon as I got to my sticking point, my back rounded so I let it drop. Now I'm really pissed. 500 is all I can think about now.

    When did you hit 500?

That's what I'm thinking. The funny thing is that I usually do stiff leg deadlift on leg day at the end of my routine. That was the first time I did regular deadlift in at least two months. I'll probably wait to try it again for at least two or three weeks. My back has been real tight since.

I hit 500 a few months back, but I'm not satisfied with a one rep max..I'll be satisfied when I can pull it six times with good form. So far I can only pull it 1 1/2 with good form before my asshole explodes..lol I think I will be able to do it when I put some more weight on...Right now I'm still at 184lbs..Can't get to 200 for shit!

if you want to add weight to yer lift, do your regular weight more explosive and keep pushing harder each time you do that lift nd youll be there in no time

Lifting it more explosively could also end you up in hospital.....

I pulled 500 before I ever used supplements, and I think I did it back in '99.

you have to also watch your form when you lift explosively.

                          As of yesterday, 6' 264lbs.

                          Back in 99 when I did it, I think I was 6' and 210lbs.

man, from these responses I should be going way heavier on my deadlifts..... It seem's that just working out with 225 for sets of 12 ain't gonna cut it anymore.
