  • training limbs differently

My right calf is well more developed than my left. Just wondering if training one limb harder could help with symmetry. I remember reading somewhere that you shouldnt do this, but it seems logical to help balance things out. Just wondering if you guys thought this was a good or bad idea.

I wouldn't. Everyone has a dominant side. One arm is bigger than the other, one pec is larger than the other, hell, women have one breast larger than the other.

I would not start working one more than the other, I would simply start doing things one side at a time. Once your weak side gets tired, that is all...stop there so your strong side is not at failure.

IMO it is most visually appealing to have as much symmetry as possible. I think the best thing to do is to use the same weight for both limbs and work out the weak side first. Do as many reps as possible with the weak side and then only do that number of reps for the strong side, making sure that the speed of the reps is the same on both sides. That should help the weak side grow faster and should maintain the strong side.
