    Alright thanks for all the information guys, would a shake that looks like this be good?
    16oz water
    2 scoops whey protein
    serving size of dextrose
    serving size of maltodextrin

    Im still not sure how much of the carbs I should be consuming post workout like the ratio of dex/malto also if you guys could tell me what a good pre-workout shake should look like.

            Well for regular dextrose I usually put 6 tablespoons in my shake. So I guess you could split it up and put 3 and 3 of each.

              Wow... I havent come across any posts suggesting the overtraining issue. I believe its a real problem amounst lifters. I know cuz I used too be one =) Only when full recovery from each training session is achieved do you see the peak of the training effect.

              Come on! He's 17 years old. Limit days 3-4 days a week no more. >1 of consistant training. I disagree I dont think your overtraining. I wouldnt remove the exercises cuz of your age. I would keep the actual workout time after stretching under an 1hr. Change Direction (angles) after 6 weeks. I.e incline vs. decline. Wide vs close grip. I train with a kid your age and he got huge uses weight gainer.

              You want size DEF eat more I dont know your wieght use this post to fig out how much to eat. a person 35+ & natural 3 days per week less exercises under 40mins. Remeber Mass building exercises are Squat, Deadlift (back), Bench Press. Make sure you eat some health fats too. Olive oil, peanuts/oil, avacado, etc. keeps testorone up.
