Im right now doing 5x5. Every week I swap Squat and Leg Press.

    So it goes

    LP/Squat 5x5
    LP/Squat 2x8-10
    SLDL 2x8-10
    Leg Extensions 2x12-15

Its a wonderful Sunday every week

It is always hard for me to get my quads sore. Until I tried this leg extension 8-10rep superset w/hack squat 8-10 rep and back to the leg extension 12-15rep. Your quads will be on fire!

on most leg exercises (besides squats) you should go high on the reps. I wouldn't alter your feet on squats (although make sure to place the bar high up on your back and stand more upright than a powerlifter) but on hack squats try turning your feet in a little to really hit your outer quad. Don't go too heavy, you want to feel it in your outer quad, not strain your knees. For leg presses try keeping your feet close together.

And warming up on leg extensions before squats is a good idea b/c you are changing things up and you're getting blood into the muscle before a heavy exercise.
