  • Still can't get claves to grow

I dont know why these stubborn bastards dont grow. Im doing everything and nothing happens. ALL they do is get defined and shaped up. I want size. I hate my genetics.

Ive been doing this for a while and nothing. Every 4 weeks i change the workouts. 4 weeks straight 3 sets of each and the other 4 weeks supersets.

standing clave raises: i add plates on the top and the pin all the way down. 3 sets of 6-20 reps

seated calves raises: 3 sets of 6-20 reps

donkey claves raises: 3 sets of 6-20 reps

I also tryed that routine posted here by Nekrawulf on cooked Calves. Senlecting a number of reps 75 and doing them non stop with a weight i will be able to hit 20. Dont feel them.

If genetics suck, what else can i do for them or im i screwed

well I think I have told you before but the less I work my calves out the better mine are. I do one set of calf raises for 45 seconds every 3 weeks. Obviously i have more growth potential but not having growth potential like someone else does not mean you have to use tons of sets.

i wish i had my calves like urs bro. I got a buddy who has them like urs in the gym and trains them every 2 weeks or so.

The thing with my calves is that i need to be working them out constantly because if i dont they shrink fast, the pump goes away.

The only one thing that i think was working for me was using the Strength Shoes. Those got me pumped from ankle to top of claves the whole lower leg. I just havent had to time use them. What u think of those bro.

Try to keep shocking them add toes in and toes out. Also, what works for me is to work the negatives and bring it up for 2 counts.

a pump doesn't mean much in terms of muscle. Blood is always rushing in and out of muscles at different volumes. During a workout you should achieve a good pump if you are not overtrained indicating a high level of nutrition and an intense workout but in every day life a muscle is just a muscle. Look at it this way...your calves are used to walking around all day so a bit of work won't get them to excited to the point where it thinks it needs extra blood for the work load ahead. but that doesn't mean working them OUT a lot.

im the same way i never do calves. They seem to grow in perportion to the rest of me so i dont worry about it.

Try doing them on the sled immediatly following a heavy press set. Do 4 good working sets and then go do donkey calf. This may shock them into growth. if not listen do deadit and go talk to your mom.

I do 3 60 reps sets (20 with one leg, 20 with the other and 20 together) on the block. I'm sure you know how to them. I dont use any weight. Just hammer them out all the up and all the way down.
Of course what works good for me may not work at all for you, but why not try it.

Everytime I do these i get crippled sore, I did them friday and still somewhat sore today. Give it a shot.

yeah ive done those before. I feel them but no growth. My calves are the type that i got to be hitting them constantly because if not they shrink back.

                    thats very true.

Its something i dont understand about them. Every body part i got, i train 4 different exercises 4 sets of each and im growing fast, no gear. But when it comes to calves I tried different methods. Doing one exercises 3 sets and nothing. Goin 4 different ones heavy 3 setrs of each and nothing.

I was asking the gym owners who've competed in top levels, Mr. Universe, about them, i told them about genetics and they said thats a big cause there. Gotta give my strength shoes a try for 4 weeks again, now that i have more time now

you should do a fiber type test on them juice. If have a certain genetic makeup then you have to train them a certain way.
