  • Diet to boost lagging body parts?

So the cyclical ketogenic diet (CKD) is supposed to allow one to lose fat while minimizing muscle loss. As I understand, by adjusting the number of calories, it can also be used during a mass-gaining phase, to minimize fat gain. During the carb-loading phase, the glycogen uptake is maximized in the muscles that have just been exercised, which is why they recommend hitting many body parts immediately before the carb load. However, what if one were to focus on really hitting lagging body parts before the carb-load to try to boost growth of those body parts in comparison to the rest. Do you think this would work? Anybody tried this or have any thought on its efficacy? Thanks.

well the only way to find out would be to try it but I doubt you could ever nail down a cause and effect because with nutrition you have to many variables to accuratley say whether one or the other had the desired affect you were looking for. IMO you should be eating down the simple carbs after ever workout to help begin the recovery process the fastest. The carbs will replace the burned glycogen stores in the muscle and liver so you shouldn't be worried about the caloric affect of them.
