    warm up
20 min of stretching (big change)

30 minutes of push ups, pull ups, abs, leg exercises (basically every exercise that you can think of without using weights)

    30 minutes of weight training
pick 2 exercises per major bodygroup, 1 for minor
do one set to failure(6-8 reps) and one set lighter weight (4-2-4 tempo)

    15-20 minutes of cardio

I am hoping to get more solid and maybe a little more definition. I am also starting a B+ grade diet (a little cheating)

Has anyone experimented with this type of workout?

    I will keep you posted.

in wrestling we had a coach that made us do this workout and everyone got ALOT stronger, but it was durring the season so no one gained any size at all.

The running would be great to keep in just for the fact that it will help with the legs and heart...we did it with a full pack on our back at times. The swimming will help with any lower back pain that may develope...so if any of these exercises start cause back pain, add the swimming back in there!

Ice....what part of Florida are you in? I see your a Gator fan...are you in the G-ville area?
I was down in Parris Island from august to november of 96'. I remember plenty of skinny ass recruits packing on a few pounds during basic. They were double rations recruits. You remember, they went to the front of the chow line to load up.
This is bringing back memories. I remenber going through the chow line and hearing the mess recruit say "stay motivated recruit".
And I know I wasnt the only one who stole those little peanut butter and cracker packs.

Ah yes! the good ol peanut butter packs! Once a week the DI would catch a recruit jackin these from the chow hall and we would all do time in the pit for it!
There were plenty of skinny recruits but it was very rare in SD that someone got the coveted "double rat" badge.....i think there was only one in the entire Bravo Co.
