Try some ham/glute raises. They are killer!
To perform, you need to get onto your knees. Then, place something, usually a piece of gym equipment, over top of your heels to hold you in place. Then, you lean forward, then back. It takes a shit load of balance and strength, but they will make your hams strong as hell.
For compound movements, nothing beat good ol' stiff legged deads.

I started doing those a while ago and they are definitely killer. If you go down slow and just make sure you go down as far as you can without touching, you will definitely feel this one for awhile. great addition to a ham workout!Originally posted by Pumpdogg
What shortz is talking about will murder your hams!! If you have a training partner or buddy in the gym they can hold you feet too. Just go as slow as you can on the desent..
