  • Back Routine

Would like some input on back routine:

Iso-Lateral Front Lat Pulldown- 3 sets
    Iso-Lateral Low Row - 3 sets
    Iso-Lateral Row - 3 Sets

1.) The first question I have is - it ok to use those 3 machines during the same workout.

2.) If I add the reverse flies on the machine used for chest is this done on the back routine or shoulder routine. A little confused as to when a back exercise starts to really hit the shoulders.

3.) Any other exercises I can start to add in. Would like to do Deadlifts, but work out by myself late at night and not sure if I would be doing them correctly. If I try to start these how do I know if I am really doing it right with correct form.

    Thanks

Those three machines are fine...I don't believe you need to repeat each for 3 sets each. Find your favorite one (which I would think woudl be the one where you can get the best contraction) and pick that one for maybe two sets...then do the other two for one set each. Your sets for each should last about 1:00 each in a slow controlled cadence. I would not add any reverse flyes for Rear delts. Doing three pulling movements should be plenty to get the rear delt worked. or you can substitute the rear delt machine every third back workout and leave one of the exercises out. and as far as deadlifts, yeah make sure you are doing them right before getting into them. Once you get the form down though they are a great addition...I will add just one thing. Try to do them off a raised rack...There is no need to pull from the floor unless you are competeing in a comp. The rack should be set so the bar is about 3-4 inches below the knee.

Thanks a lot guys for the input, going to hit back tomorrow and give it a go. Will look to see if there is a raised rack in the gym.
