Just curious as to what most of you do to stay so driven. i have kind of hit a wall and just cannot get going again. I have a lot of things going on and just cannot seem to keep pushing on my training porgram. any ideas as to what i can do. I have been off everything for about two months does this have something to do with it?

when you say off everything I am assuming you mean steroids? If that is the case then motivation can be damn hard because your horomones are in a major flux of trying to normalize. And if you add to that being busy in life sometimes the gym doesn't even register as a priority. What I like to do during those times is make sure I get at LEAST 1 workout a week. It may not sound like much but you have to find a time when you really want to be in the gym and take advantage of it. You may only be feeling up to it once a week and that is just fine. But I find it worse to go in the gym when you really don't want to be....when people get lazy in the gym their form lacks and with the lack of intensity, it would be better if they weren't there. Make sure you goal set to...short term, medium term and long term...you have to be clear on goals before you can even think of what type of motivation you would need for those goals.

between work(just got promoted), moving, and school, it is kicking my ass. i am at my breaking point. SC, it is kind of ironic that you say set goals. i was actually writing them down as i read that. I was on for a long time, but i did proper PCT and all that so i should be/am relitively level hormone wise. i still havnt lost any wieght or have become flabby, it is just lack of drive that is going to make me lose all of my previous hard work. as usuall, thanks for the comments, i am just gonna have to suck it up and work though it.

even with a proper PCT i feel that the body needs a lot longer no normalize itself than people think. Even PCT is an artificial method to getting to where you want to be so the real recovery begins AFTER that. But as you said having a lot of eggs in your basket can push other ones to the bottom. I am moving now as well. Work has been very long in the past few weeks. So I took my own advice and make sure I do at least one workout a week. I pick a morning when I wake up and really want to go to the gym...if I happen to have 2 days in a week then thats even better. also along with your own goals try to find someone who your don't necassarily have to train with or even have the same goal...but each of you set a goal and then compete to see how achieves it first.

Alot of people have a tendency to rely on steroids to make gains. They seem to forget what it was like to make natural gains. Once off, you have to work harder to make them.

There is a physician at the hospital that I talk to frequently. He is a natural lifter and has been lifting for about 15+ years. He eats healthy, keeps himself in good cardiovascular shape and lifts hard. He looks fuckin awsome. 6ft, 220-230lbs and ripped. He told me once if he ever goes over 12%, he won't show his face in public. LOL

He is my motivation. The fact that although it seems you're not making much progress, sticking to it will transform you. If you look at yourself every 2-3 years of lifting, the changes are awsome, even when natty.

that a good tool as well...having a real life "Somebody" who you aspire to look like...sometimes "pro's" or "celebs" are just too out of reach to help motivate you. But I have people in my life too that motivate me when I need that extra push.

agreed, i can understand that. I also understand the natural gains vs. juice gains. i usually do fine either way. i have changed my focus, after some long thought, and just want to look good, be physically fit and healthy. So, i dont think I will hit the juice again for a while. I need to get all my ducks in a row before any of that. Before i had the focus of trying to compete, and i think i burned myself out. So now i am gonna try a different approach and see if i can get back in the swing of things. And as far as someone real life. I am on my own there. I just moved so no training partner or someone to chat with about it, so that is where you all come in:D

I'd say your best bet is to sit down for an hour or so, and develop a good description or image of where you'd like to see yourself physically. Put together a good diet and workout schedule, and try to fit it into your daily schedule. The hardest thing for me is getting everything down to a routine. Although it sounds boring, I train best when my life is as simple as: wake up, cardio, eat breakfast, go to work with my meals packed, lunch break, lift...and so on. Try to develop a schedule, and make it your goal to prove to yourself that you can work so hard and be so focused as to make your natural gains better than your gains with gear

My best motivation has always come from thinking about all the people who don't have the option of being fit. It's like this privillage i have that they don't because of whatever. Corny, sure, but it works. And being forced to sit for a few months due to knee surgery really helped too. I agree with the GY above about the set routine...without one, I am way more likely to flounder.

good luck and i'm sure it will get better.
