  • 3 Days A Week Training Routine

    I have been trying to get to the gym at least 4 days a week, but because of kids, work etc. I just usually can only make it 3 days during the week and weekends never work out. It is easier during the week, the gym is near my job. I have been trying to get in and out working out for about 45 minutes to an hour.

    Here is what I have been trying to do:
    Monday: Chest, Biceps
    Tuesday: Legs
    Thursday:Shoulders, Triceps
    Sat: Back

    What is the best way to hit all the body parts with only 3 days a week.
    Monday: ?
    Wed: ?
    Fri: ?

    If you want to divide it up to kinda hit body parts twice like you are now, then it would probably be good to do something like:
    Mon: Bis, tris
    Wed: Chest, shoulders
    Fri: Back, legs
    I would do the back and legs day on the day that you had most time and knew you would have the most energy cause I've done that a bunch and it takes a lot of physical and mental energy to put in a good quality workout from beginning to end. If you really don't want to do the back and legs together you could do the opposing muscle group idea.
    Mon: Bis, tris
    Wed: Chest, back
    Fri: Legs (shoulders?)

      Thanks BBAddict, will give that a try. I will see how the Back/Leg day will work out seems a like a tough day.
