  • Cardio Lowering BF%?

Hey everyone whats ups? Im wondering how to lower my BF% either with a more strict det or if cardio will do it alone. Im around +-13% and would like to get down to around 10%. I started adding cardio slightly in my workout everyday and I am begining Lacrosse this week which meets 3 times a week plus games on weekend. Will I notice a decrease from just the lacrosse? I havent had constant cardio since high school and that was 4 years ago. My diet is pretty good. I dont eat all that bad. Any input would be great. Thanks!

Diet is always the foundation of gaining muscle and losing fat. Cardio is also good but if you have a shitty diet, cardio isn't going to help much.

whats a decent diet that would be suitable for a full time student where its hard to fit meals in every 2 hours or so. I always have a good breakfast....5 eggs with one yoke and a cup of oats...but what would be good from there?

do a search bro... there's tons of good diets on here.. we could write one up for ppl all day but the probabilty that your going to follow it is small... sit down witha pen and paper and write one down yourself after researching

Absolutely. Cardio benefits your heart, but like Megiddo said, if your diet is sloppy than it's not going to make you any leaner. I never do cardio because I hate it, but my BF is around 11% and that's down from 14% a month ago. I just try to use common sense when I'm eating. You'd be surprised what a little common sense will get you.

protein: fish, pork, lean steak, chicken, turkey, cottage cheese, eggs and shakes

carbs: oats, granola, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat breads, brown rice, sweet pot.

fats: animal fat, natural PB, flax oil

            and of course veggies

preparing food ahead of time will help you because ur a student. i cook once a week, sometimes twice. if ur on the run there are things that u can throw in the microwave real quick. i usually get uncle bens ready made brown rice, not instant, ready made. and bumble bee and starkist make flavored tunas. steaks or ground up for a sandwhich. perfect for on the run.

I was a full time student at loyola double major and I cooked all my meals the nite b4 packed ice packs in my bag to keep things chilled then used my buddys fridge in skyscraper to heat up the goodies, it works just takes dedication and less excuses

duh!! you only said that in the frickin thread title. sorry dude had a brain fart. have you ever figured out how many calories u eat per day. ur pretty active so with cardio, lifting and lacrosse ur gonna wanna keep the calories still pretty high so u don't lose muscle. of course this will fluctuate depending on ur body and what ur weight is but u should prob still be eatin around 3000-3500 cal per day. clean calories.
