Remember most treadmills only go up to 10mph. Next time you are on one, turn it up to 9.5 mph and see how long you can sustain it. Or do the track suggestion above.
I'd also suggest that, as SC implied, to best mimic road/track running, it is necessary to put the treadmill to an incline of 1.0.
Not that it matters, but I know for a fact I can do that run. I've run a 3:01 marathon, a sub-18minute 5k and a sub-38minute 10k. I was born with the ability to run. Now I train to not look like a marathoner but keep some of the ability to run well!

I am a runner. A pretty serious (and good) one at that. During my marathon/triathlon training, when I do my "step up intervals" I never go under a 7 minute mile pace. I run between 25 and 35 miles a week.

6:30 pace is pretty fast. And to do it for 2 miles?

I am not saying that everyone cant do it. Just dont think many of you understand.

If you can, then I retract my skepticism.
I do all my running outside for that very reason. I'd say that's the only thing that's actually pretty hard out of that whole test.
