I did a search here but didn't find anything. Can anyone point me to some sources where I can read up on Conjugate Strength Training? Any good books out there you would recommend? Any of you ever use this method? I think it's also called the Russian Conjugate System of Periodization.

A good example of conjugate training is west side barbell type programs. These programs basicly do not favor one intensity over another, but combines them to get a more productive result. For instance, on chest day, you could do 4 sets of 5 reps of Flat press, 3 sets of 10 reps of inclines and 2-3 sets of 15 reps of dips. It's not just as simple as this all the time, but it's just an idea. Another way a conjugated system would work is having a light day and heavy day, much like WSB.

Do a search on Christian Thibaudeau's articles. He has written some very good articles on he different training styles and is very knowledgable in the conjugate method, among many others.
