  • how can you lose inchs off your belly

im trying to lose inchs off my belly but i get different suggestions. for example, weight lifting: but then some people say you cant burn fat that way and turn it into muscle.. then some say cardio: but then cardio will make you lose muscle? i understand you need to have a good diet and all, but past the clean diet part, what can be done......

Its always a battle in that aspect. Turing fat into muscle is a falicy, doesnt happen. Fat is burt off as energy, the problem is when you are in caloric defecit your body will sometimes use muscle as energy also, especially during cardio.

You don't even have to do cardio or go to the gym to loose your belly. Diet is the key and there is no way around it. If you eat like shit, you will look like shit with or without gym/cardio.

when i got into weight training many years ago i was a little chubby. i hardly do any cardio but am very lean. id say its a matter of personal preference and patience. if youre desperate to loose fat you can incorporate cardio but i dont believe that its entirely necessary; itll just take longer. if you want to loose weight, diet is the most important element to get in check. weight training is also beneficial because added muscle will make fat less noticable; having strong abs will help flatten your gut and better posture will also make you look better. the easiest thing to do is drink LOTS of water everyday, preferably cold. when you drink ice water your body has to heat it up before it can use it, which uses calories so you can burn off calories just sitting on the couch watching tv

Less calories intake and burning more will reduce the fat savings. Cardio will burn your calories. And so as weight lifting. When you do weight lifting also we are burning calories. Fat will never become a muscle. That could be coverted to energy.

Cardio or weigh lifting... watchout what you are eating. If you want to loose weight, plan your diet and do some cardio to burn the excess fat that we dont need. Just stop the potato chips, soda, pizza, french fries, fried chicken and stuffs like that. We should be able to see the difference.

And whatever we do it has to be regular. Just doing cardio one day and leaving it for two weeks and then again starting with new resolution.. will never work.

Planned diet, cardio and weight workouts will definitely make you in good shape.. provided you are doing it regularly.

                    Well.. good luck.

Diet, cardio, and weights. You need to clean up your diet, eat more protein, and take in less calories then you need.

Cardio to help burn the fat.

When you diet and are not taking in the same calories that your body is use to, it looks for other sources of fuel. If you are not using your muscles by training with weights, your muscle can become the extra source of fuel for your body. To keep what muscle that you have while dieting, it is important to keep them engaged with weights so you body does not eat up your muscle as fuel.

You also need to work you ab muscles so that when you do lose some of the fat, that the ab muscles will show through sooner.

Most important is this needs to be lifestyle change to stick. This is why I suggest making small changes to you diet and exercise programs. Small changes are easier to adapt to, then turning your life upside down with 10 extra hour of working out and doing a 180 on your diet. you will not be able to sustain this extreme change and will bounce back to being fat.

you might also carefully monitor your heart rate when doing cardio (though that won't help worth shit if your diet isn't in check). do a search on google for the optimum fat burning heart rate at your age, and monitor it while you exercise. you CAN burn fat when lifting, and many people find more success in losing fat (as opposed to gaining muscle mass) by doing more body parts and sets in a workout, with little rest between sets (essentially cardio weight lifting - by keeping your heart rate up). play around a little and find out what works best for you!
